WIND, WEATHER AND WAVES

The steady side-shore breeze from the left blows from the north or north-west all year round. The windiest time is between September and March, with December to March being incredibly consistent, seeing winds reach up to 30 knots. September to November sees calmer winds, averaging 11 - 14 knots. The summers are hot with air temperatures topping out at around 40°C / 104° in June / July and only dropping to around 20°C / 52° in winter.

There are kitesurfing conditions to be found all year here, you just need to choose the temperature and winds you prefer. The water here in the summer is very warm, so there’s absolutely no need for a wettie. Just bring a rashie to protect you from the relentless sun. The hottest months are July to October and the water temperature is between 24 - 28°C / 79 - 88°F from April to October. During these months it gets fairly cold at night so take a jacket to consider yourself prepared.
