Slingshot Widowmaker 2017

Building on a reputation as one of the lightest, highest-tech twin tips in kiteboarding, the Widowmaker has been stripped down and rebuilt to be lighter and stronger than ever. Weighing in at just 4.5lbs, the 2017 Widowmaker features a cutting-edge hybrid Paulownia/Korroyd core.

Slingshot Widowmaker - 2017

Paulownia is known for its strong, springy characteristic, while Korroyd is a thermally-welded miniature honeycomb that provides superior strength at a fraction of the weight of a full-density core.

On the outside, the Widowmaker features a full carbon wrap with additional carbon Vectran weave in critical stress areas. Additional top and base layers provide even more strength and durability.

Slingshot Crisis 2017

With a lighter, more flexible layup and a mild rocker profile, the Crisis is a user-friendly kiteboard designed for riders progressing from entry-level kiteboarding to intermediate or advanced kiteboarding. The softer flex helps absorb chop and provides smoother landings for riders getting the hang of jumping. By no means a “beginner-specific” board, the Crisis is also fan-favorite for advanced riders because of its springy feel and exceptionally light feel underfoot.

Slingshot Crisis - 2017

The Crisis features Slingshot’s signature vertically laminated wood core, a single concave outline and double flat rails. The result is great edging upwind, a smoother ride through chop and nice load, pop and landings. You’ll love the Crisis if you’re looking for a lightweight, user-friendly board you can take comfortably in all conditions.

Slingshot Glide 2017

The Glide is Slingshot’s dedicated light-wind kiteboarding board designed to get you out and riding, and having a blast doing it, while others sit on the beach waiting for the wind to come up. Staying true to the expression “Throw it don’t mow it,” the Glide’s long, slender outline, block rail profile and mild rocker combine for a feel closer to a standard twin-tip than the barn door that many wider light wind boards resemble.

 Slingshot Glide - 2017

Offered in 149cm and 159cm lengths, the Glide’s extra surface area will, as the name suggests, get you up and kiteboarding across the water with significantly less wind than a standard twin tip.

Slingshot Turbine 2017

The Turbine has proven to be one of the best light-wind kiteboarding kites ever made. Slingshot is excited to unleash this high-aspect, high-efficiency machine in a full range of sizes for 2017. All the same qualities that make the Turbine such a great light wind kite translate to an aggressive, high-power, high-flying, high-performance weapon as you go down in size and up in wind speed.

Slingshot Turbine - 2017

15, 17, 19 meter- The proven light wind kiteboarding kite of choice for riders of all abilities. The Turbine’s high-aspect, high-efficiency profile gets you out and riding when others watch from the shore hoping for the wind to pick up.

11, 13 meter- Perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who want a massive dose of spice on those moderate-wind days, or as a full light-wind kite for smaller riders. This range yields long, lofty airs, aggressive upwind angles and more power while kiteboarding than any kite of the same size.

5, 7, 9 meter- Massive air, lofty hangtime and aggressive, high-power freeride performance. Described as “a Rally on steroids”, this size range is perfect for experienced riders who are ready to take their riding to the next level, and for foilers looking for competition-level performance out of a LEI kite.
