Essentially they’re kite addicts, just like most of us, but they’ve taken their passion to the next level.

Starting on page 104 Marie-Eve Mayrand tells us about her love of wintery conditions in the Canadian Rockies, where she developed an interest in kiting longer and longer distances. The 39-year-old marketing expert completed her first VAKE race in Norway this year – a 250 kilometre night and day slog into the Arctic Circle. Kiting takes all sorts… and there were plenty of other crazies keen to camp in the snow and ice alongside her.
