Core Surfboards 2017

Clean lines and German designs from Core

Designed at their HQ on the German island of Fehmarn and handcrafted in Portugal, the 2017 surfboard line up from Core looks pretty special. There’s three boards in the range, all built in a classic PU/glass construction with clean, minimal graphics and sleek looking carbon reinforcements to suit riders of all levels in waves of all types!

The 720

The 720 is a beach break slaying machine, designed for navigating ‘shories’ and nailing head turning strapless manoeuvres. Its short, compact shape is stable in the air and stays fixed to your feet and the carbon reinforced construction is rugged enough to take the heavy landings. Crank out powered turns in choppy, wind driven waves or charge bigger surf – the 720 is comfy wherever you take it!

Green Room

Only a real big wave rider truly knows the draw of sizeable surf and they’ll think nothing of overnight missions and last minute plane journeys to catch incoming XL swells as they approach land.

The Green Room is for those riders. It’s fast, changes direction quickly and responds rapidly in critical moments when you really need it to! PU foam and glass construction allow for a perfectly tuned rail shape and rocker line that gives increased speed, grip and control in waves of consequence and its rounded pin tail means there’s less lift and a solid connection with the wave at all times.

It’s not a board for just anyone, but if you need a go-to stick that you can rely on on the days when you can hear the waves before you can even see them then this is it!

Ripper 3

The Ripper 3 is the board in Core’s line-up for the rider who wants one stick for all conditions. Ride it with straps or without, in monstrous winter swells or on fun onshore days in the summer months – it’s an all rounder that feels right at home in every type of wave. The PU/Glass construction gives a true surfboard feel underfoot for dynamic wave riding and there’s enough width and volume to the board that it’ll work either without a kite during your morning surf or as a lightwind cruising machine when the breeze is still building.
