SNAPSHOT

Welcome to the greatest snow on earth!
Easy access to ridge-top snow and a dynamic landscape has made Skyline a prime stop on any North American snowkiteroad trip.
There are miles of open terrain and the entire mountain is suitable for every wind direction.
Part of the Wasatch Plateau, Skyline is a high-altitude playground with rolling hills and steep cornices connected by flat open fields.

THE KITING

While there are many areas to ride and explore, the main spot is the Big Drifts parking area located at mile post 14 on Fairview Canyon road, offering flat areas for warming up and instructing with gentle slopes for hill-climbing that are perfect for any ability of snowkiter.
There is plenty of open space to ride both up and downwind to avoid others on busy days.
With snow in all directions it's easy to ride up-slope in almost any direction.
To the east Bosco’s hill sits 300 feet above the launch site and provides the perfect angles for dialing in your mountain skills before heading south down the ridge in search of steeper runs.
The typical wind from the southwest rolls up the gradual windward hill-sides and forms steep cornices on most north faces.

Freestyle riders will find pockets to play in and features to session while back-country explorers will go down the ridge on excursions for miles.

SNOW, WIND AND WEATHER
Boasting a long winter season, snowkiters will come as early as November and enjoy spring conditions as late as May. Deep powder and wind-blown snow, nongroomed backcountry conditions.
