The Central Line System (CLS), is now available from Wipika. It’s a simple and effective safety system, comprising of an additional line that attaches to the leading edge of your kite at one end, and to you at the other. Activate your chicken loop safety and the bar travels up the line, instantly depowering the kite. It’s also designed so that the kite falls belly up in the relaunch position. If the kite does land with the leading edge down for some reason, all you have to do is release the chicken loop and, pivoting on its leading edge attachment, the kite will turn over to the relaunch position. Wipika have also responded to popular demand for a high-wind size of their Matrix kite. The new 7m is available now, and team riders have tested the kite to work in winds between 26 and 45 knots, (depending on your weight and experience of course!) See the new 2004 website at
