Right off the bat, by registering and fundraising, you automatically receive an athlete bag of swag. The bag of swag will include products from some of our event sponsors, like CLIF, Camelbak, EmergenC, Dakine, John Wayne Cancer Foundation, SBC, among a few other and will all be tucked nicely into a custom Athletes 4 Cancer tote bag. Food and drinks will be provided to you the day of your event and VIP parties will be held at night.
You will also be putting yourself in the running to win some pretty epic prizes. Not all of the prizes have been revealed yet, but trust us that you won’t want to miss out on the opportunity of winning them. The top fundraising prizes have been revealed. The Kiteboarding 4 Cancer top fundraiser will win a Jimmy Lewis 9’ Mano Wave SUP, and the SUP 4 Cancer top fundraiser will win a SupLove Odyssey 10'0" SUP Board & Carbon Paddle. There will be notable prizes given to the individual and teams with the most endurance and to the individual/team with the best costume. 2011: Standup Paddling 4 Cancer
The Standup Paddle Race series will challenge the most avid competitors with swell, currents, and wind conditions over the course of three events: (1) Standup Paddle Endurance Race, (2) SUP Course Race (3) SUP Relay Race, and (4) the Full Contact SUP Contest.
2011: Kiteboarding 4 Cancer
The largest amateur kiteboarding event in North America, the foundation of Tenacity Games, will now consist of two events: (1) The classic 6‐hour Kite Derby Endurance Race, and (2) Relay on the Green Kite Team Relay Race, which will entertain the crowd while challenging competitors in the waters right in front of the Hood River Event
July 10, 2011: Kayaking 4 Cancer
New to the lineup, the first ever Dam Derby will run down the beautiful White Salmon River, on the Washington side of the Columbia River. The race will begin below the Condit Dam in the lower section of the White Salmon River, winding through a stunning evergreen blanketed canyon, and spitting out into the mighty Columbia River. Paddlers must then make their way across the Columbia River and finish at the Hood River Event Site. We hope to see you out there supporting the cause in our fight against cancer.
