Speed Event Luderitz Namibia

Yesterday was the first day of the month's record attempt, the wind condions were average for the Luderitz-Namibia speed strip, with around 30 kts of wind.

All the racers have beaten the previous kite record that was 41.79 kts for men & 37.34 for women. Here's the results:

Men :

1/ Alexandre Caizergues : 44.55 kts - French / European / & new kite sailing world record.
2/ Sebastien Cattelan : 43.93 - Personnal best
3 / Manu Taub : 43.69 - Personnal best
4/ Jerome Bila : 43.13  - Personnal best
5/ Taro Niehaus : 42,10  - South African / African record

Women :

1/ Sjoujke Bredenkamp : 38,45 kts - South african / African / & new kite
sailing world record.
