Roberto Ricci to unveiled his new Italian styles to the world at an RRD conference in Sardinia in June. Among the delights were the new range of Triplex boards, consisting of five twin tips from a 134 x 40 down to a 126 x 35. The outline of the new boards is simple, with rounded square tips, and a little concave in the bottom shape. Very thin tips and reduced thickness along with a new custom finished construction make them lightweight and much more inherently flexible than the XXX of last year. Designed to cope with newer wake style moves, compared to last year, there’s loads of pop and they make for better landings. The 128 and 132 are exact replicas of Vari’s boards. Word is that RRD are also developing a wave range of kites and boards too, but they’re still in the prototype stage.
