New Guinness World Strapless Distance Record

On the 3rd November 2012 Petr "pechi" Pechace from the Czech Republic made the first world record in long distance strapless kitesurfing in Aruba, completing 173km in 6 hours without stoping setting a Guinness World Record.

If you are thinking about taking on this record, be prepared to exercise some patience.  Petr says 'I started at the beach, went off shore and then came back in'.
Petr was kiting forward and then back 7km each way for six hours which involves a fair amount of gybing.

Congratulations to Petr for his dedication and patience in setting this world record. We have a feeling it may stand for a while!
