KPWT World Tour: 3rd Stop
Rider Leander Vyvey kindly gives us a little update from at the 3rd stop of the KPWT pro world tour in Dunkerque, France:
We've been competing in France, Dunkerque, for the past week now. However, wind conditions have been terribly bad with side off, light conditions.
I passed easily up to quarter finals where I'd to meet Peter Tuykevich (Russia). I'd already beaten Peter in competitions before and was winning the heat when the wind started being too light for me to ride. I tried however to do some more tricks, but even with my biggest kite and board I could not manage to find the power I needed.
Peter advanced and won the competition.
Organisation didn't manage to run a second elimination because of the lack of wind. This way, unfortunately I had no chance climbing up from this 5th place.
At the moment I am brainstorming about a different version of my Serie board to compete even in the lowest conditions!
Next stop is Shippagan in Canada, for Freestyle, sliders and wave [events].
