Baltic Sea crossed

JanekPolish kitesurfer, Gdansk City resident, Jan Lisewski sailed a total distance of about 200 kilometers, kitesurfing from Polish port Swinoujscie to Ystad in Sweden. This is the first such achievement in the world.

The whole kitesurfing voyage took around 11 hours. His sole cruise across the Baltic Sea was hampered by wind blowing at a speed of 60 km/h and waves with a height of 6 meters. “Several times the waves took my board, but I managed to get it back” – Lisewski says.

Jan Lisewski is kitesurfing for the past nine years. He stresses that his goal was also to promote this sport that is not covered by the media. Lisewski plans to cross the Mediterranean Sea in October and the Red Sea in December, provided that he will find sponsors.
