2011 Slalom / Kitecross World Championships


The 2011 Slalom / Kitecross World Championships will be held in Murcia, Spain, from 12 - 16 October. The event format will be Downwind Slalom without Obstacles. Kitecross and slalom is a really fun type of kiting to be involved with, with local events springing up all over the place!
 
The 2011 Slalom / Kitecross World Championship is part of the Eurosaf High Performance Grand Prix. Mar Menor is a great kiteboarding venue, and racing will take place in nice conditions with prevailing winds from the east averaging 12-15 knots, and temperatures around 20-25 degree celcius.
 
Registration is now open. Click here to REGISTER. The maximum number of competitors is 32 men and 8 women, so hurry up in securing your spot before the event is filled up !
 
A total of 6000 Euro prize money is up for grabs, distributed to the top 8 men and top 4 women.
 
Competition will be run in multiple elimination rounds on the below course. In addition, some full fleet long distance downwind races may be added.
