KITESURFING HOLIDAYS  - MARGARITA

THE LURE

With humble origins as a quaint fishing village, El Yaque on Margarita has earned a world-class reputation as a premier kitesurfing and windsurfing destination. Near constant winds, warm air and water temperatures and waist-deep flat water stretching 300 yards creates the ideal backdrop for both beginners and experts to hone their skills.

THE SETUP:
Designated beach zones separate kitesurfers, windsurfers and swimmers, creating an inviting experience for all. The designated kitebeach remains solely available for kitesurfers, accessible in an easy five minute shuttle boat ride. Find soft sand to launch from and a gently shelving beach with mainly shallow waters with a maximum depth of three metres. The wind is cross-shore, the spot is suitable for beginner to advanced with choppy water and there is rescue cover. There are several well-stocked shops with the latest equipment for sale or rental.

COCHE:
Just a short ferry ride away, it's worth visiting Coche for the super flat water.

WIND & WEATHER:
Air temperature averages 27°C/81°F all year, peaking in September at 31°C/88°F. At night, the temperature only drops four or five degrees.

WATER:
The general conditions don't get much better than here and it's no wonder people return for their kiting fix year after year with average water temperatures of 24°C/76°F.

INSTRUCTION & CENTRES
